Art on tour – Belgium

The exhibition finds its culminating home in Brussels’ Royal Park from September 15 to November 26, 2025. After inspiring conversations in Crete, Albania, and Montenegro, ‘Living without Leaving’ brings these powerful artistic voices to the heart of European decision-making.

Nestled between Rue Lambermont and the Monument au Général Belliard, this final stop features the most comprehensive collection yet: 22 compelling artworks exploring depopulation, brain drain, identity, and belonging across member states and EU candidate countries.

The exhibition connects to the Union’s commitment to ensure everyone has the right to stay in their home, examining whether young people should remain or seek opportunities elsewhere.

These artistic perspectives highlight the challenges that EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region and Interreg IPA address through place-based solutions, supporting public services, education, healthcare, and connectivity to make staying home a viable option.

In Brussels, where migration and belonging intersect with European policy-making, these important voices reach everyone who passes through the heart of Europe.
